Chi NewmanChi Newman is an author living in Tucson, Arizona. Her book,"Farewell, My Beijing: The long journey from China to Tucson," tells her fascinating life story that began as a child of a diplomat in China. Along with her twin sister, Chi was forced from her comfortable lifestyle in order to escape Mao's communist rebel army. Starting with a bare subsistence lifestyle in Taiwan, her language skills led to her finding work in several international embassies. After she married a member of the U.S. diplomatic service, she moved to several different countries with him as he received his assignments. As a result, she effectively spent much of her life as world traveler. Being an expert on all things Chinese, she now offers our readers educational articles about Asian culture and food as she shares stories from her past and her travels throughout the world. Chi also enjoys sharing her unique view of world events with our readers. She loves to cook, socialize, travel and play bridge with her friends.
