I would like to think that all is not lost for the Republican Party and that last November’s disastrous election will not really mark the end of their influence. This country needs all the checks and balances available to it, especially in Congress, but unless the GOP changes course it is likely to find itself irrelevant for years to come.
Mr. President, you must explain clearly and forthrightly that a financially secure future for middle-class families and for the entire nation depends on reforming health care and controlling its runaway costs…
