White Hats and Black Hats

White Hats and Black

I grew up in a small ranching town in western South Dakota. My consciousness has been impacted by what I was when. It is postulated that most of your life values are formed when you are around nine years old. I was nine years old in the 1950s, and it was a simple and positive [...]

A Most Remarkable Man

Darrell Gene Miller

In our lifetime we will meet and get to know many interesting and fascinating people. Occasionally we are introduced to a person who ratchets the bar up a notch. November 4th – Happy Birthday, Mom!

Patricia Hoyle

This coming Tuesday – my Mom’s birthday – will see the election of a new President and the beginnings of a changed American society. I’m sorry that she is not here to see it all happen along with the rest of us. The changes that lie ahead of us will be historic, significant, and life-changing for all of us. McCain vs. Obama – Notes on the 2nd debate

Barack Obama and John McCain

John McCain and Barack Obama engaged in a rather restrained debate Tuesday evening about who was to blame for the current economy and which one could actually solve the nation’s problems.

Tom Brokaw moderated, asking questions from the audience and the Internet. At times both pushed the limits of the truth, but the most interesting part of the evening may have occurred after the debate was over.
