It was very exhausting watching the elections for so many months. I’m glad it’s finally over and even happier with the results. Barack Obama will not be our president until January, but I am already excited for America.

Approximately 12 midnight on November 4, 2008, President-Elect Obama, his wife Michelle and his two young daughters appeared on stage in front of an estimated 75-100,000 cheering fans in a Chicago park. Obama will be the 44th President of the United States and the first African-American to hold that esteemed office. Using a style reminiscent of John Kennedy, but with the cadence and emphasis of Martin Luther King, Jr., Obama called upon everyone to support his efforts and to offer to serve their country.
