I know that you did it because you knew it was the right thing to do. It was the only right thing to do.

Instead of using the majority support and powers available to him, President Obama seems to have become America’s number one procrastinator…

President Barack Obama’s Inaugral Speech of 2009 should clearly install confidence in the ability of the American people to meet any challenges and in his administration’s ability to lead the way.

It was very exhausting watching the elections for so many months. I’m glad it’s finally over and even happier with the results. Barack Obama will not be our president until January, but I am already excited for America.

Approximately 12 midnight on November 4, 2008, President-Elect Obama, his wife Michelle and his two young daughters appeared on stage in front of an estimated 75-100,000 cheering fans in a Chicago park. Obama will be the 44th President of the United States and the first African-American to hold that esteemed office. Using a style reminiscent of John Kennedy, but with the cadence and emphasis of Martin Luther King, Jr., Obama called upon everyone to support his efforts and to offer to serve their country.

John McCain and Barack Obama met up one last time in their third televised debate on October 15th – this time in New York. McCain seemed to be either always on the attack or fidgeting in his seat during the entire debate. Obama, on the other hand, was respectful, thoughtful, soft-spoken and very deferential to McCain. They were a study in contrasts. It is not surprising that McCain’s polling numbers fell and Obama’s jumped up by several percentage points over the next two days.

Most of the TV network and cable channel reviewers took the easy way out and called the debate a tie, with a slight advantage to Obama for his calm demeanor and Presidential look. A few compared it to the Nixon-Kennedy debate of 1960 . . . Most TV and independent polls gave the victory to Obama by an average 4 to 10-point margin. . . but true believers, as usual, were crediting their respective candidates with overwhelming victories no matter what the real result might have been.
