If the United States wants energy security and not be forced to depend on foreign oil, then why do we appear to be overlooking natural gas?

The recent seizures of merchant ships in the west Indian Ocean and the Gulf of Aden by pirates based in Africa has become a major crisis for the U.S. This is not the first time we’ve had to deal with pirates.
